Some animals like to live snuggled up in a burrow whereas others are happiest perched on a high cliff.
Working with RSPB, pupils from James Gillespie’s Primary school got up close to some of our neighbouring animals and explored the different natural habitats they live in. They then worked together to design an ‘Ideal Homes’ poster for their chosen animal, with some great ideas to help our wildlife cope with the impact of humans and climate change!
Here’s what the pupils had to say about the workshop:
“ I enjoyed making the posters and discussing the animals. It surprised me that I found out so much about the Puffin.” – Rowan, age 10
“ I learned how to find out about an animal by its features.” – Hannah, age 10
“ I learned lots of facts about Puffins, such as they use old rabbit holes as places for laying their eggs.” – Clara, age 10
“I really enjoyed talking about the animals with the class.” – Iona, age 10
